Charles W. ALEXANDER

Charles William ALEXANDER, son of Russell B. ALEXANDER and
Cedelia D. BLOOMER .
was born June 28, 1869 in Bellevue, Huron Co., Ohio,
He enlisted in Company E of the 1st U.S. Infantry,
on July 14, 1891 in Benicia Barracks, California. He was discharged on October 13, 1894 in Fort Sherman, Idaho. He re-enlisted
on December 14, 1894 in Fort Douglas, Utah, and was assigned to Company E, 16th U.S. Infantry. He was discharged on December 13, 1897
in Fort Sherman, Idaho. He enlisted a third time on May 4, 1898, and was assigned to Company H, 17th U.S. Infantry, and was later discharged
on November 15, 1898 in Columbus Barracks, Ohio.
He resided at Moss Point, Jackson Co., Mississippi between 1910 and 1913, before moving to Idaho Falls, Bingham Co., Idaho in 1914. He resided at Silverton, Marion Co., Oregon between 1915 and 1938, until his death on March 20, 1938 in Silverton.
Etta (Glanzman) Alexander
He was married to Johanna Henrietta "Etta" GLANZMAN, daughter of Benedict GLANZMAN and Emma Louisa KRAMER, on May 11, 1909 in Idaho Falls.
Etta GLANZMAN was born March 20, 1875 in Dayton, Webster Co., Iowa. She died on February 20, 1931 in Silverton, Marion Co., Oregon, and was buried in Silverton, in Green Mt. Cemetery.

John Alden REINHART was born on March 14, 1894 in Great Bend, Barton Co., Kansas. He died on 9 Jan 1955 in Portland, Multnomah Co., Oregon (Veterans Hospital). SILVERTON - Grace came to the Silverton Hills in 1915. She married John Reinhart in 1930 and he preceded her in death in 1955. She was a homemaker but later worked for Silver Crest School as a cook, retiring after 30 years in 1975. She enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles and making handtied patchwork quilts. She was a member of the Silverton United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sons, Donald and Charles Reinhart; daughters, Barbara Hupp, Dorothy Hicks and Catherine Lauer; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
2. Roberta Lois ALEXANDER was born on 17 Nov 1911 in Moss Point, Jackson Co., Mississippi. She died on 6 Mar 1994 in Pullman, Whitman Co., Washington. She was buried on 11 Mar 1994 in Silverton, Marion Co., Oregon (Miller Cemetery).
3. Augusta Fern ALEXANDER was born on 14 Apr 1914 in Idaho Falls, Bingham Co., Idaho. She died on 8 Oct 2000 in Salem, Marion Co., Oregon. April 14, 1914 - Oct. 8, 2000. She was buried on 12 Oct 2000 in Salem, Marion Co., Oregon (Belcrest Memorial Park).
